I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the County of Calaveras Human Resources website. We are pleased to provide you with information that outlines our current job openings, benefits, and salaries. Department Responsibilities
My department staff is responsible for recruitment, selection and retention, examination activities, employer-employee relations, classification and salary administration, benefits administration, negotiations, contract administration and grievances, performance appraisals/due process, personnel policies, regulations and procedures, staff training and development, worker's compensation, and a variety of payroll duties. Benefits and Compensation
The County of Calaveras provides a comprehensive benefits package to employees who qualify. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance, along with paid vacation and sick leave. Regular full-time employees do not pay Social Security, but are members of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS). Appointments to regular full-time positions within the county service are normally made at the first step of the salary schedule. For salary grade please click here. A one-year probationary period is standard. After successful completion of twelve months of employment, a 5% merit raise may be granted annually.
