Calaveras County GIS Data Distribution CD 2002

The following GIS Data CDs are available:

1) Standard GIS Data CD - contains the GIS layers in an ESRI Shapefile format. The CD also includes a MrSid formatted USGS Topo Map (DRG) mosaic of the entire county as well as a Painted Relief of the County in JPEG format. A MrSid extension for ArcView 3.x and ArcExplorer2 are included.

2) 1998 USGS, 1 meter Resolution, Black and White, Digital Orthophoto Quarter Quads (DOQQs) - This is a 10 CD set of TIFF formatted images comprising the entire County, including world files. Sections of the County can be purchased one CD at a time. See Map for CD layout.

3) 2002, 2 Foot Resolution, Color, Digital Orthophoto Images (DOI) - This is a 3 CD set of MrSid formatted images comprising the entire County, including world files. The CD also includes a MrSid extension for ArcView 3.x, and a stand alone MrSid viewer from Lizard Technologies. Sections of the County can be purchased one CD at a time. See Map for CD layout.

Currently there are two ways to acquire GIS Data from the County:

1) You can send a request for the GIS Data CD to the GIS Office via letter (if you want us to ship the data to you) or email, (if you will pick up the data at the Government Center). There is a charge of $50.00 for the first CD plus an additional $10.00 charge for each additional CD. There is an additional charge of $10.00 if you want it shipped to you.
